This is another case where love is motivating the cause rather than just business or politics. I have included a letter (see below) that I received from Rossana Pasturenzi at Guitar Club Magazine Italy, who is also an adorning fan of Jaco's. It is always good working with people that have been touched by Jaco and feel good about being able to give back in some way. Thanks Rossana for helping me get the word out in Italy about the "Portrait of Jaco."

Letter from Rossana Pasturenzi:

Hi Bob,

It's a great pleasure to recevive your email together with your kind cooperation. Naturally I'm interested to do issue with the interesting piece about Jaco and personally I can tell you that I'm a fan of Jaco, the great musician with the great heart. I made his last italian interview, in Milan, and his big photo with me in that occasion is still on the wall of my office-home. He wasn't so good that night and it was quite difficult to understand all his words. But he was so clear when he told to me that he was thinking to his family, to his children and his wife. He told me to take care of my family during all my life. So he caressed my cheek with his big hand and he jumped on the stage to finish the soundcheck with Lagrene and his band. That was the first and the last time I met Jaco but, during the time he was in front of me, I could feel and breath all his restlessness, his need to give love, his big carisma and talent. And I know he felt all my deep respect of him. I think I'll never forget that night.

A couple of year ago my husband (one of the famous italian bass player grown with Jaco playing) and me got to the cemetery in Fort Lauderdale and saw that the little Madonna on his grave was quite consumed: obviously a lot of people go to visit Jaco. And I could give Jaco back that lovely caress...

Sorry for my not fluent language and ciao, ciao from Italy.

Rossana Pasturenzi
